Warm Baked Cinnamon Apples
Tender baked apples with cinnamon, oats and walnuts. A cozy, naturally sweet dessert that tastes like apple pie without the crust.
Ingredients
Method
- Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Core the apples, leaving the bottom intact so they form a cup. Widen the opening with a spoon.
- Mix the oats, nuts, maple syrup, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Stuff the filling into the apples and stand them in a small baking dish.
- Pour the water into the dish around the apples.
- Bake 35 to 45 minutes, until the apples are tender when pierced with a knife.
- Serve warm with Greek yogurt or a small scoop of vanilla ice cream.
